Supporting those impacted by war in Ukraine

Like everybody, those of us at Eastlight Community Homes have been shocked and saddened by the recent events in the Ukraine.  We want to play our part to help Ukrainian residents who have been forced to flee their homes.

We will support residents who wish to get involved in the government’s ‘Homes for Ukraine’ initiative. This allows local people who wish to sponsor refugees, but who do not know anyone personally fleeing Ukraine, to register as a sponsor.

We have also pledged to match, up to £10,000, all donations given by staff to the Disasters Emergency Committee international appeal.

Residents can now access our ‘Homes for Ukraine FAQs’ and ‘Guidance Note’ for those who wish to know more about what else they can do.  If residents have further questions, please get in touch in the way which suits you best.

We are also in touch and working closely with our local authority partners, local stakeholders and other housing associations.  Together, we sincerely hope we can play a small but significant part in supporting those affected.
