The interview process at Eastlight is designed to assess your skills, experiences, and suitability for the role. Interviews may take place in various formats, including in person, virtually through video conferencing, or a combination of both, depending on the nature of the position.
Additionally, some positions may involve assessments or tests to evaluate specific job-related skills. Details regarding the format and any assessments will be communicated to candidates in advance.
The number of interview rounds candidates go through varies based on the position and complexity of the role. Generally, candidates can expect to participate in between one and three interview rounds.
These rounds may include initial screenings, technical assessments and final interviews with key stakeholders (online and in person). The specific details about the interview rounds will be outlined during the recruitment process.
It is recommended to wait approximately one to two weeks after submitting your application before sending a follow-up email.
Our vacancies usually state a specified application deadline, so it is encouraged to wait until one week after this date, to allow sufficient time for the Hiring Manager to review all applications.
All candidates will receive an application outcome via email or telephone call within 10 days of the vacancy closing date.

Your application data, including your CV, contact details, and any other personal information submitted, is stored within our secure recruitment system and only accessible to authorised personnel.
We retain your data for six months for application purposes if unsuccessful, after which it will be securely deleted unless you provide consent for us to keep it longer.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at recruitment@eastlighthomes.co.uk.
For successful candidates we store your data for your period of employment, once your employment with Eastlight has ceased this data is securely destroyed after six years.

If you're successful at interview, the Hiring Manager will usually give you a call to make a verbal offer. If you're happy to accept, you'll then receive a conditional offer, along with details of the pre-employment checks that need to be completed.
Here are some other key things to know:
- You'll be required to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK, and this check must be completed in person.
- We'll ask you to provide references covering the last three years. If this is your first role, or if you've had gaps in your employment history, we're happy to accept appropriate character or academic references instead.
- You'll receive a medical questionnaire to complete. We also encourage you to let us know if you need any reasonable adjustments so we can ensure you have the right tools, support and working environment from day one.
- Depending on the role, you may also be asked to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and a Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) check. Our team will be on hand to answer any questions and guide you through the process.
- As part of the onboarding process, you'll also be asked to complete a Declaration of Interests form. This helps us identify and manage any potential conflicts of interest related to your new role.
Once the onboarding process has been completed, you'll receive your contract of employment and confirmation of your start date. Your Line Manager will also be in touch to discuss arrangements for your first day.
We'll make sure you have all the equipment and tools you need to get started. You'll also take part in our induction programme, which provides the information, guidance and support needed to settle into your role and feel part of the team.
If you leave Eastlight in the future, we'll only keep your personal data for as long as necessary and in line with our legal obligations. In most cases, this will be for six years.
