Eastlight calls upon disabled residents to help shape service improvements

We are working with disability organisation, Purple Tuesday, to help create increasingly accessible and sustainable homes and services that residents both want and need.

The news comes four years into our partnership with the organisation. In 2023, Eastlight was named ‘Founding Partner’ of Purple Tuesday and achieved Disability Confident Leader status – the highest level in the Government’s Disability Confident Employer scheme.

In a dedicated Disability Inclusion project, Eastlight will have inclusive and comprehensive conversations with residents – including with those on our Customer Influence Committee – to spotlight the significant challenges faced by people who live with a range of disabilities.

These experiences will identify various performance gaps in our organisation and will go on to support and influence the vital accessibility improvements we hope to make to our operations, including within our homes and in the services residents receive from us.
