Mavis recognised in top list celebrating standout professionals in housing

Neighbourhood Lead, Mavis Adombire, has been named as one of the winners of the Inside Housing Management 30 (IHM30), a prestigious list celebrating outstanding professionals across the housing sector.

The IHM30 recognises individuals who are making a significant impact through their dedication, innovation and commitment to improving services for residents. Mavis’ inclusion reflects her consistently high standards and the positive difference she makes in her role.

In her position as Neighbourhood Lead, Mavis regularly manages complex and challenging situations. Her work spans anti-social behaviour cases, safeguarding concerns and tenancy sustainment, often supporting residents through difficult circumstances. Despite these pressures, she is known for her calm, solution-focused approach, always seeking practical resolutions while ensuring residents feel listened to, respected and supported.

Mavis’ commitment extends beyond case management. She has built a strong reputation for developing trust with residents and approaching her work with both compassion and professionalism. Her ability to balance empathy with effective action has made a tangible difference to the communities she serves.

Her achievements have also been recognised by the IHM30 judging panel, who said: “Mavis consistently goes above and beyond to provide the best possible service for the tenants she works with, always with enthusiasm and a sense of humour. The sector is lucky to have her.”

This recognition is a testament to Mavis’ hard work, determination and passion for resident engagement. Her contribution embodies the values of the sector, and her success is richly deserved.

Mavis adds: “One of the things I value most about working in housing is helping residents who face barriers to accessing services, particularly where those challenges may be contributing to tenancy issues. I strongly believe that with the right support, people can achieve positive outcomes and I am proud to work for Eastlight, where a person-centred, supportive approach is always encouraged.”
