Join us for a summer of Pride!

Pride Month is a time to celebrate identity, community and belonging – and to stand together in support of our LGBTQIA+ communities.
Following our recent sign-up to the LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge – strengthening our commitment to inclusion and support – we’re pleased to be out in our communities again this summer, taking part in a number of local Pride events.
Our teams from our LGBTQ+ staff and residents group, EastPride, as well as from My Eastlight Team, will be on hand to welcome residents, share information about our services and, most importantly, listen. Whether you’d like to find out more, ask a question or simply stop by for a chat, you’ll find a warm and welcoming space at our stalls.
This year’s programme includes:
- Essex Pride, Chelmsford – Saturday, 20 June
- Pride banner-making workshop, Dragonfly Bar, Colchester – Thursday, 30 July (6–8pm), in partnership with Colchester Borough Homes
- Colchester Pride – Saturday, 15 August
- Braintree Pride – Saturday, 22 August (proudly sponsored by Eastlight).
Pride events are a chance to come together, celebrate who we are and show visible support for our communities. They are also an opportunity for us to to listen and learn from residents, so we can continue to improve the services we provide.
