Eastlight secures place in Top 50 Biggest UK Builders

Eastlight has once again been recognised as one of the UK’s leading housing developers, securing 47th place in Inside Housing’s Top 50 Biggest Builders list.

In 2025, we set out to build 306 new homes – and went even further, delivering 341 high-quality homes across our communities.

Each of these homes represents much more than a number. They provide safe, secure and sustainable places to call home for 341 households.

Looking ahead, we are continuing this momentum, with plans already in place to deliver a further 310 homes this year.

The need for affordable housing continues to grow at pace. Demand for social rent, affordable rent and shared ownership homes has never been higher, with the latest government figures showing more than 91,000 people on council housing waiting lists across the East of England – including nearly 25,000 in Essex alone.

Against this backdrop, our continued presence in the Top 50 highlights the vital role we, together with our partners, play in addressing the housing shortage and supporting local communities. As we approach the milestone of delivering our 2,000th home, we remain committed to building more high-quality, sustainable homes that make a lasting difference to people’s lives.
