Eastlight named a UK Top Home Builder

Eastlight Community Homes has been named as one of the UK’s Biggest Builders by Inside Housing.

The respected publication releases the ‘Top 50’ list annually to celebrate the work of housing associations that are delivering much-needed homes across the country.

This year, Eastlight secured 50th place for total homes built, delivering 328 new, affordable homes in 2024-25. This was 65 more than our original target and included the completion of our flagship, land-led scheme at Mount Hill in Halstead, Essex, which has brought a new community of 71 households to the local area.

Eastlight is proud to deliver a fully affordable, consistent development programme, allocating homes for affordable rent, social rent or shared ownership on all schemes. We ensure our developments enhance the overall resident experience, through sustainable construction, biodiversity, waste management and by seeking opportunities to create lasting community cohesion.

With hundreds more homes planned for 2025 and beyond, we remain committed to tackling the housing crisis and helping more people across our region find a safe, secure and affordable place to call home.

In addition to our completions, Eastlight climbed six places to spot 44 in the Top 50 for homes in the pipeline. We aim to complete 351 homes in 2025-26, contributing to around 1,170 homes we expect to deliver over the next five years.

Eastlight’s Head of Development, Andy Allocca, said: “We’re incredibly proud to be featured by Inside Housing on their Biggest Builders list for the third year in a row. It’s a testament to the hard work of our teams who keep striving to deliver new, affordable homes at a time where there is a real shortage for people in need. We look forward to continuing our work by collaborating with our many trusted, development partners, and delivering more affordable homes across the East of England.”
