Join our Complaints Learning Panel
Complaints can tell us a lot about what we're doing well, where we need to improve, and what matters most to residents.
We're looking for 10 residents to help us review what complaints are telling us, challenge our thinking, and make sure we use what we learn to make real improvements.
You don't need any previous experience to get involved. We'll provide all the information and support you need, and we'd love to hear from residents with a range of different experiences of Eastlight services.
What you'll do:
- Give around 1 to 2 hours a month, including reading information before meetings and sharing your views
- Attend meetings every two months, either online, in person, or a mix of both
- Review anonymised complaint cases and tell us whether our responses were fair, clear and helpful
- Help identify ways we can improve our services, processes and communication
- Look at complaint trends and help us spot opportunities to prevent similar issues in the future
- Make sure resident priorities are at the heart of our learning and improvements
- Work with other residents to help keep Eastlight open, honest and accountable.
Why it matters
Your feedback will help us learn from complaints and improve our services. By sharing your views and asking questions, you'll help us make sure our complaint handling is fair, effective and easy to understand. You'll also play an important role in helping us show residents how feedback leads to change.
What's in it for you?
- Make a real difference to how Eastlight listens, responds and learns from complaints
- Gain insight into how complaints are handled and how improvements are made
- Build your confidence in reviewing information, spotting themes and asking constructive questions
- Receive support and clear information from Eastlight colleagues
- Meet other residents and work together on issues that matter
- Learn more about how housing services are reviewed and improved.
Who we're looking for
We're looking for around 10 residents to join the Panel, including renters, homeowners and leaseholders.
If we receive more applications than there are places available, we'll aim to create a Panel that reflects a wide range of resident experiences.
