Eastlight celebrates 2,000 new homes since 2020

Marking six years of building homes, creating opportunities and supporting communities

We’re celebrating the delivery of our 2,000th new home since we formed in 2020, marking an important achievement in our mission to provide safe, sustainable and affordable housing across the East of England.

We now own and manage around 15,000 homes, including a mix of social rent, affordable rent and shared ownership properties, supporting thousands of people and families across the region.

While delivering 2,000 homes is a significant achievement, it represents much more than a number. Behind every front door is an individual, couple or family with a place to call home, offering security, stability and the opportunity to build a brighter future.

The occasion was celebrated at Eastlight's development in Rivenhall, Witham, on 13 August, where residents, colleagues and partners, including Bellway Homes and Calfordseaden, came together to recognise the positive difference the 202 homes we’re building there by 2029 are making to local communities.

Michelle Duffy, who recently moved into her new home at the development with her son and two dogs, said:

"Coming into my new home was amazing. I can only say it was like winning the lottery, because it's a beautiful, beautiful home."
