Two communal areas at Queens Road in Braintree and Parker Way in Halstead will soon benefit from a receive a range of decoration and structural refurbishments, giving each building a new lease of life.

Resident satisfaction and feedback are central to these projects. Queens Road and Parker Way residents have been helping Eastlight by shaping the future look and feel of their homes – from selecting preferred flooring to choosing new door colours.

At Parker Way, residents will see structural repairs to entrance canopies and brickwork, as well as internal and external decoration. New communal windows, bin stores and updated facilities will also be installed.

In addition, roofing and rainwater goods will be replaced, alongside a new door entry system. Meanwhile, outdoor areas will benefit from new paving, fencing and gates.

Over at Queens Road, works will also include similar roofing, external landscaping and structural improvement works. Residents can also expect new fire doors and upgrades to communal entrances, including fresh flooring and decoration.

Assistant Programme Manager, Maddy, says: “The works at both buildings will provide a fresh, modern and welcoming space that residents will be proud to call their home. By having the opportunity to have their say in the changes we make, we want residents to get involved and feel empowered.”
