Trainee People Assistant

Job description

This roleinvolves providing administrative support to the Human Resources, Talent Acquisition and Learning and Development functions within the People Team.

We want to be an employer which helps our people develop their careers, and this role will help support that ain,

As part of your training, we will help you to complete a Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) Foundation Level 3 qualification which will help you progress in your future career.

A day in the life of a Trainee People Assistant

You will find yourself supporting with payroll tasks to ensure our people are paid on time, but also helping arrange interviews for prospective Eastlight employees and helping the successful candidates settle into their new jobs.

There will be a chance to learn a range of HR systems and administration tasks such as updating employee records, processing onboarding documentation and pre-employment checks and keeping up training records.  

Who would this job suit?

We are, understandably, looking for a people person who has excellent attention to detail.

You'll need to be a good problem solver and have the skills to work in a fast-paced environment.

This job requires someone with a high level of professionalism, admirable ethics and who works well as part of a team. 


Trainee Estate Ranger

Job description

Our estate services provide support carrying out regular inspections of all areas to keep our estates looking in top shape.

With this role you will work in a supported learning environment to develop the skills and knowledge required to provide a great service for our communities.

A day in the life on a Trainee Estate Ranger

This role is quite varied but you will be tasked with things like maintaining gardens for some of our residents and keeping our estates clean and tidy.

This is vital to ensuring our communities are safe and welcoming so you will also be tasked with the removal of fly tips, graffiti and litter.

Other duties undertaken include lock changes, programming heating/hot water systems, inspecting temporary properties, safety inspections, installing signs and measures to help assist victims of anti-social behaviour.


Who would this job suit?

We are looking for someone who enjoys being outdoors in all weathers and working as part of a small team.

You need to be willing to learn and not be shy in making suggestions on how we can do things better or differently to improve communities for our residents.

In the role you will encounter many different people including residents, colleagues and people other organisations –so a friendly, approachable personality with the ability to be adaptable is a must.
