The Government Kickstart Scheme supports employers to create jobs for 16 to 24-year-olds on universal credit who are at risk of long-term unemployment.

Eastlight has already welcomed a number of Kickstart employees across the business

You will receive 100% of national minimum wage (or living wage depending on your age) for 25 hours per week for six months.

National Insurance Contributions and minimum automatic enrolment contributions will also be funded by the scheme.

George Bartley speaking to a colleague

Kickstart is an opportunity for me to show how I add value, learn and really hit the ground running. I get a lot of responsibilities which boost my confidence.

At Eastlight, we are proud to have a number of apprentices doing great work to help support our residents.

We also have a group of former apprentices who have stayed with the company and are now thriving in their careers.

We have an ambitious plan to create 50 new apprenticeships in the next five years to help build our future.
