Eastlight Community Homes shareholders learnt about our exciting future at our first Annual General Meeting.
The meeting was held virtually using Zoom and an online voting platform to ensure as many people could take part as possible.
Eastlight is a Community Gateway Association, so residents can become shareholders and vote at Annual General Meetings.
Around 150 resident shareholders took part, either by attending the meeting or by sending their voting preferences in advance. All of the resolutions, including to appoint six Board members, were passed.
Those attending heard from Chair Hattie Llewelyn-Davies and Chief Executive Emma Palmer about the creation of Eastlight and what the future holds.
Five involved residents recorded videos talking about their activities with Eastlight over the past year, before Housing Director Scott Bridge gave a short insight into what the future holds:
David Hall, Company Secretary, then gave a short summary of Eastlight’s financial situation, including the impact coronavirus had at the end of the last financial year.

The event concluded with an engaging Question & Answer session. Summaries of the questions and answers will be posted shortly.
